BLOCK E
BLOCK E is a special program offered to 4-6th graders at our school. They have to go above and beyond to get this award. Some of the things they do are: run 5 miles, 4 essays, special poster contests, being on the honor roll, getting all E's on progress report, and at least a 3.5 grade pt average.
This is Bryanna's 2nd year getting the award. She worked hard and deserves it. We are so happy for her.

Tigerettes
January
I never get tired of seeing the beautiful snow capped mountains out our window.
Bryanna was required to do a science project this year but Abby really wanted to do one too. She made the solar system out of playdough. She was so proud!
Oh Maggie! She is a good dog. Here the girls were trying to "train" her to wait for her treat.

New Year 2013
New Year's Eve has become a mellow family celebration for us. We get out our minimal decorations, and traditional snacks with sparkling apple cider. The girls did get to stay up until midnight this year and they were soooo excited to see the ball drop in NY City, on tv of course. When the clock struck midnight they ran outside to bang pots and pans for maybe a minute!
Happy New Year 2013. We can't wait to see what is in store for us.

Abby and Derek were obviously not excited about taking a picture at midnight:/

DARE Graduation
Do you remember DARE=Drug Abuse Resistant Education? I barely remember going through it but I remember the mascot was a lion and the DARE car was pretty cool. Bryanna graduated the DARE program at Jacks Valley Elementary this year. She LOVED the program and especially Officre Griffith. He was fantastic! This happened to be his last year teaching the program after 24 years of service. It is such a great program, especially for those kids who don't get any kind of guidance from home.
