Look Mom.....2 wheels!

We are officially done with training wheels! Abby took her time but finally decided she was ready to ride without them (the neighbor girl doing it first helped push her along a little). She is a little speed racer now!

Soccer Season

Bryanna is #9 on the Outlaws team. I am so glad that she wanted to play soccer. I LOVE watching soccer so much more than softball and she seems to enjoy it a little more. So far they have won 1 game out of 3 and they are having a great time! She was excited that their team color is her favorite color..YELLOW! It's all about the clothes even in sports:)

Our beautiful family

13 year ago today I married my one and only. He was in fact my one and only boyfriend! I was 14 and he was 15 when we met back in 1992. We are high school sweethearts who went to different high schools. Derek and I met at a church basketball game at the Stake Center. I had just finished playing and was changing my shoes when he came up to me an introduced himself. I didn't think much of it but he says he knew right then:) We had a teenage romance with all the excitement and DRAMA that's for sure, but in the end what matters the most is that we truly love each other. The kind of love that fills up your whole body until it wants to burst out kind of love! I can't imagine my life without him in it and I appreciate all of our "growing experiences" over the last 13 years because I feel like it's made us stronger as husband and wife and as a family. The most wonderful outcome of our marriage is the 3 most beautiful children. We are so lucky to have them in our lives and to make our family complete. Bryanna, Gracie and Abby make our family the MARLATT 5, together forever! Happy Anniversary to us! I can't wait for the next 13 + years!

First Day of School 2011

Since Derek and I were in Seattle when school actually started, today was the girls first day of school. They were more than excited to get on the bus and go (bryanna wanted me to drive her. (i'll take it as long as she wants me to). Abby is in 1st grade with Mrs. P., Gracie is in 2nd grade with Ms. McCain, and Bryanna is in 4th grade with Mrs. Jacobson. I am alone for the first time now and I have mixed feelings about it. I will miss my girls while they are not under my wing, but I know they are growing and learning and I will enjoy this time for myself once I get over the adjustment. It's going to be a great school year!

Seattle

When we arrived in Seattle we headed to Pike Place Market first. We saw the Flying Fish guys and beautiful bouquets of flowers for only $5! I bought some to take home to Vancouver before we left.

This was so cool to watch him write these Chinese letters/symbols. I wish I would have went back to get one!

Dinner at Ivar's was delicious! This was our beautiful dessert...cheesecake!
The view from our window at Ivar's

I thought this was cute.

The Space Needle
Ride the Ducks tour. We saw the Sleepless in Seattle house on Lake Union!

I think we went to Pike Place Market 4 times! We ate at BEECHERS and The Athenian where Sleepless in Seattle filmed a scene.

Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays. It was a good night even though the Mariners lost

Our final night, all dressed up and super funny entertainment! Jason Hewlett was awesome! Oh my gosh we laughed so hard.

We had a great time and I am so grateful that Les Schwab continues to do this for it's Managers/Asst. Managers. We look forward to spending time together every year.

Vancouver/Portland, Seaside etc.

Seaside, Or with our cousins!

We always stop at the Portland Temple when we're in town. That is where our family became a Forever Family!

Multnomah Falls with some of our favorite people, The Farmers and Maude.

We made it to the top!

This is the start of the "1 mile all up hill you are going to sweat like a pig" trail.

Lacamas Lake
A nice little hike in Vancouver, Wa with our other set of cousins!

Birthday photo shoot with my girlies!

Today I am 33, and I'm ok with that. I have a good life, I am happy and blessed. Today we spent the day doing what I have been wanting to do-bike ride at Camp Richardson in Lake Tahoe and eat lunch at the Burger Lounge so I can try a peanut butter burger!! It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. I loved it all!
