Happy 6th Birthday

My attempt at cake decorating! Gracie requested a cake with green sprinkles and flowers sticking up. Luckily I had this idea from a magazine I saved years ago (it pays to hold on to things sometimes). Dum Dum suckers and leaves made out of airheads candy. The ribbon is there to cover up the lack of frosting on the side! Gracie loved it and that's all that matters.
Gracie's new bike and outfit!!
(Don't you just love the leg pose???)

Gracie turned 6 yesterday!! She was counting down the days to her birthday ever since Bryanna's earlier this month. We had plans to do a party at the park but mother nature stepped in and decided to give us rain and snow so we settle for McDonald's playland. Gracie invited a few friends from school and they had a great time (while the snow came down outside).
Gracie is our strong spirited child who loves her friends and loves school. She knows what she wants and that will take her far in life, I know it!! She is so special to us and we are so happy she had a great birthday. We love you Gracie!

Happy Earth Day

We hope you all do something for Earth Day. Coming from Oregon I have a little bit of tree hugger in me so we are recyclers and we will be recycling today, and picking up garbage in the SNOW, and doing some of these activities with friends.
Also we are going to see this movie. If you go during opening week they will donate a portion of your ticket sales to save the coral reefs. Even if you are not into saving the Earth it looks like a cool movie anyway.!!

Enjoy your day!

Bryanna's Baptism

Daddy and Bryanna on their special day
Bryanna right before she was baptized

Bryanna's baptism was so special and so memorable. The morning started off with a ruined white dress so we had to stop at Target to get a replacement on the way to the church. Then when we got to the church we found out that the font was not working and we weren't sure if we were going to have a baptism or not!! Thanks to some awesome men from our ward we were able to get a hose hooked up and with some plastic and 2 rocks to plug the drain and it filled up enough to go through with Bryanna's baptism. The spirit was so strong that day and we will never forget it. Thanks to the ward family who helped us and who were there supporting Bryanna and our family on her special day. And a special thanks to Grandma Pam for being here with us and spoiling the girls. We are so happy that Bryanna chose to be baptized and hope she will always remember her special day.

Teacher Appreciation

5 days of Teacher Appreciation Week. You can adapt this to whatever your teacher likes or could use in the classroom!

These 2 ideas I found last year and saved them (I am crazy saving lady).

Teacher Appreciation Week is May3-7th specifically May 4th. I have been searching for some ideas and these are some I came up with. Of course just a good gift card is awesome too!

Tonight is Bryanna's birthday party and I have some cute decorations to post but i think I just broke my USB cord to my camera so we'll see if I can download the pictures. Stay tuned!

DownEast Giveaway

I don't normally post these things but I LOVE Down East and I want to win!! Click on this link to Tatertots and Jello for your chance to win.

Earth Day

Earth Day is coming up on April 22nd. I usually do something with my girls on that day: recycle. pick up garbage.or some kind of craft ( of course). I found some Earth Day coloring pages and we will also be going to see this movie-http://disney.go.com/disneynature/oceans/

Placemat Scripture Tote

I got this green place mat at Target for .48 cents and intended to use it for St. Patricks Day but never did. Instead I used it as a trial run for a scripture tote. Bryanna is getting baptized next week and we are getting her new scriptures so I wanted her to have something cute to put them in that didn't cost $50!! I used this tutorial to make mine. I used hot glue to add the flower. Now I'm on the hunt for more super cute place mats!

Last Minute Easter Ideas

Now this is about the cutest thing I've evah seen! Plant the "magic" jelly beans in the ground and when they wake up they find a rainbow lollipop!! So fun. She got the lollipops at Walgreens for $1.00 each. Check it out at See Jane Blog.

If your dyeing easter eggs than you'll have lots of hard boiled eggs to eat. This is a cute idea. I wish I came up with these ideas!
