Gracie had her last day of school/picnic yesterday. We enjoyed time at the library and had a picnic lunch at the park with her teachers and friends from school. Gracie has grown so much this school year, not just physically but socially and she has learned so much. I appreciate these teachers who dedicate their time to educate my children. Gracie will miss her friends from Pre-K but she is excited to go to kindergarten at our new school and ride the bus with Bryanna!! We're halfway to summer..Bryanna's last day is next week.

Lake Tahoe

We spent a few hours at Cave Rock, a little beach at Lake Tahoe. The weather was beautiful and the girls had so much fun. Derek and I enjoyed getting some sun too. I think I am going to be a Lake Tahoe junkie this summer!!

Memorial Day

For those who have served/or serving our country and the ones that lost their lives. For those who have gone before me: Grandma and Grandpa Kirk, Grandma and Grandpa Rushton, Uncle Jim, Aunt Jill, Uncle Kent, Grandpa Vern Sonner and all our other ancestors, family and friends who have passed on.

We will be celebrating by enjoying the beautiful Lake Tahoe.

This is what i want to do today....

I am SO in the mood for sewing today but I feel like I can't sit down and do it when my bathrooms need to be cleaned and the laundry should be finished. Does anyone else have a hard time doing things you LOVE because you feel guilty or housework takes over and then at the end of the day you didn't do anything for yourself?? Or is that just me??

So here is to getting at least one sewing project done today. It would even be better if I had good friends sewing along with me...and a big diet coke!!

9 years ago...

....Derek and I were sealed for time and eternity in the Portland Oregon Temple. It was the most important day in my life. I will never forget the feelings I had that day. I am so grateful for the temple blessings and to know that I can be with my husband and family FOREVER. I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to have the knowledge of my Heavenly Father's plan of happiness for me!!

My Mother's Day

I got to sleep in until 9:30am yesterday!!! Derek and the girls brought me breakfast in bed and handmade cards. We went to church where I got a pretty little potted flower and macaroni necklaces from the girls. Derek bbq'd and we had a very nice day. I love my family so much and yesterday it was so nice to see how much they love me back.
