Grandma and Grandpa's at Easter in MONTANA

Celebrating birthdays with Grandma and Grandpa was super fun!
On a traditional walk with Grandma we stop at "Lee's Park" to play for a bit. It started to snow on our way back!
The traditional band playing in a circle. This is a special Grandma Kirk tradition.
A visit to the Rocky Mountain Elf Foundation. It was a really neat exhibit.
It was a bit cold in Montana during our visit but we still did our traditional KFC picnic and Carousel/Park ride in Missoula. We've been doing this since Bryanna was a toddler. It's so much fun for the kids and I love the special tradition we have with mom and dad.

The famous Dragon Park

Another tradition is going to the Big Dipper for ICE CREAM! The sun came out for a little bit while we had or frozen treat.
Celebrating Easter and Grandma and Grandpa's is so much fun. Decorating eggs, finding our Easter baskets and having an Easter egg hunt in the forest!!

HAPPY EASTER
Snake River Canyon-Twin Falls, ID

The last time we drove through Twin Falls I really wanted to stop at the canyon and we didn't so this time I made it happen. If it had been sunny that day it would have been more awesome but it was still pretty cool! I'm glad we stopped.
It took us 15 hours to get home!

Bryanna's Birthday

I can still remember clearly the day Bryanna was born. She was born on a special day April 11th 2002. That day is my Grandma Donna's birthday (whom I never got to meet), my maternal grandparents wedding anniversary and my parents Temple Sealing anniversary. She was a beautiful and peaceful baby and she has since brought so much fun and happiness to our family. Bryanna LOVES animals, LOVES to read and is such a good helper to me. I love her happy spirit and I hope that she will continue to let her light shine!!

Bryanna had a book party with some of her friends. They shared their favorite books, made book bags and book marks and rice krispie bookworms. It was a great day!

Softball

We've been watching a lot of this lately. Bryanna started softball for the first time this year. So far she likes it and games start in a week so I hope she continues to like it:) She is a fast runner and is working really hard at batting and catching. Derek has been practicing with her at home too. Thankfully there is a park so Abby and Gracie have fun playing while mommy watches/waits for Bryanna! It's so fun to see my girls try new things and have fun doing it.

No School Day

No school day so we decided to have some fun indoors. We had some good coupons to use up before winter is over, so we had lunch at Johnny Rockets and went bowling. Johnny Rockets is a fun little diner with 50's jukebox music and posters. The food is yummy too!
Bryanna scored a 75 (she was not happy with that score)
Gracie scored a 105
Abby scored a 93
Gorgeous bowling shoes!
Mommy and Gracie
I scored a 110
Our bowling balls. Love the colors!

I love getting out to do fun things with my girls. We missed daddy, but he was out working hard for our family!

First 5K

My first 5K was at Scheel's FANatic 5K in Sparks, NV. My good friends Natalie and Jenniffer were with me for my first running adventure.
I had been training for the last few months but this was definitely harder than I thought it would be! I never stopped running though and I made it in 38.08, just a few minutes over my training goal.
It was a cold morning but it was exciting! Derek and the girls were there to meet me at the finish line, in fact Abby and Bryanna ran the last few feet with me (Gracie was sick).
I definitely want to do another one so I can improve my time. My legs and knees are a bit sore but I will be back on the running/jogging bandwagon again in a few days.
A 5K may be cake to some but this was a big goal for me and I am happy that I accomplished it! Can't wait for the next one!

Piano Recital

Gracie's first piano recital. She started taking lessons in January. She was the first one to perform that night. Gracie played "Indian Boy" and "March". She did AWESOME!
This is Bryanna's 2nd year of piano and 3rd recital. She played "Swans on the Lake" and "The Fairies' Harp". She did GREAT!

They both had to memorize their recital pieces and we were so proud of them.

I love watching and hearing my girls play the piano. Sometimes it is a struggle to get them to practice but I always remind them that they will be so happy they know how to play when they are older! Thanks to our teacher Sister Jongsma for teaching our girls piano this year.
