Oldest Town in Nevada

We took a short trip (10 miles) to the Oldest Town in Nevada, Genoa, NV. It was founded in 1850 by 2 Mormon pioneers who settled there and stablished a trading post for those travelers on their way to California. It is a small museum set on a nice quiet park like area. We had been there before for ward bbq's but never to tour the museum. The girls enjoyed seeing the old sewing machine and piano also the hand cart and wagons.
Then we made our way to the candy shop and Genoa Park.
It's nice to live so close to history. We had a really nice day together!
