Snow, Snow, Snowman!!!

We are getting dumped on......by snow I mean. We had 5 inches overnight Saturday and woke up to find out church was cancelled. Derek and Bryanna went out and made a life size snowman, who is a little creepy when he looks at me through the kitchen window. They had fun though. Gracie and Abby are sick so they watched from inside the warm house. The snow is still falling to day. I am looking forward to summer already!

Pam and Shawn are coming for a short visit this weekend, and we are so excited to see family!!

Update from Nevada

I haven't been good about updating my blog lately. Other things just seem to takeover.

So what's been going on here? Bryanna is back in school after Christmas Break on Jan 7th and she has been a lot better about not talking during rug time. She is very proud of herself. I am going to start helping in her class once a week starting tomorrow. She said the cutest thing the other day. It was about bed time and they were all hyped up and I said,"Where do you get your energy"? and she says, "Jesus gave it to us"! What have we been teaching her??

Gracie is starting an at home preschool that me and 3 other mothers are doing. Each of us will take a day and we will do a lesson , craft and snack. I am really excited about it for Gracie because she needs the social time and sometimes she feels left out when Bryanna is at school.. Lately she is into wanting to marry daddy, so we're trying to explain to her that that isn't how it works. They say little girls first love is their Daddy's! Abby is our little 2 year old!! She is still our little clown and she loves to sing High School Musical songs all day, but she is also very grumpy lately. She has been visiting the time out spot a lot lately. We did take her pacifier away a few weeks ago and that probably has something to do with it!! Next is POTTY TRAINING! My last one-Thank goodness.

Bryanna has a loose tooth!!!

Bryanna is so excited! She ran up to me the other day and said she had a loose tooth. I couldn't believe it but she really does. I was not ready for that yet. It's her bottom right in the front. She wants me to pull it out now, but I told her it's not ready yet and anyway I am not going to do it, Daddy will have to take care of this one. We don't need mommy passed out on the floor, and those of you who know me well will believe that! She is very excited about the tooth fairy coming to visit too!

Cinderella

We went to a local Children's theatre here in Carson City to see "Cinderella". The girls and I went with some new friends from our ward. She is from Corvallis Or and she has 2 girls the same age as Abby and Gracie. We got to sit in the front rows and the girls absolutely loved it and Bryanna really wants to be in a play now. Gracie wanted to meet the girl who played Cinderella sooo bad. She was fascinated by her. And Abby just kept saying "she has a beautiful dress", " look at her beautiful dress". We had a good time and we're hoping to see the next one Snow White!!

Extreme Home Makeover Update

Derek did get to go to the site of Extreme Home Makeover but it wasn't all fun. He worked throught the middle of the night moving garbage from one place to another. He was exhausted when he came home! He did get a free T-shirt and Volunteer badge, Whoopee!! Ty wasn't even there at all and most of the designers weren't even there. He got a picture of the construction area and that was about it. Some of the other guys got to see Ty Pennington but they didn't really care so much. Then I found out that they were all staying at a hotel 1 mile away from us!! If I was a crazy single woman I probably would have gone and stalked the hotel. The homecoming reveal was Friday and so they are all gone now!

Extreme Home Makeover in Nevada

Ok so this is really excited news for us here in Carson City. Ty Pennington is 30 miles away from me right now!!! The Extreme Home Makeover team is in Stagecoach, NV and Les Schwab have offered their services, so guess what that means??? Yes, Derek gets to go and be a part of it. He gets to be there for 8 hours tonight. He'll be there to fix flat tires and such but he also gets to help with whatever they need; hammering, cleaning, loading, things like that. So of course I said he HAS TO TAKE PICTURES any time Ty Pennington walks by, and if it's possible, I really want to come down there myself! This is just a really exciting thing!!! Hopefully I will have some picture to post tomorrow.

HAPPY 2008!!

Happy New Year to everybody!! I am really excited about the thought of a New Year. It's like being able to start over in a way. We have some fun events coming up in our lives this year: I am turning 30!!!! on August 6th, and Derek and I are having our 10 year Wedding Anniversary in August too!! I have to say turning 30 is freaking me out a bit. I have a list of things to accomplish before that day comes. Derek and I are hoping to get out and do something for our anniversary this year. It's amazing all that we have been through together. We have known eachother for more than half our lives. Those of you who have known us during that time could probably say a lot about our years together!!

Anyway, New Years Eve was celebrated at 9:00 pm at our house so we could put the kids to bed. Derek and I were going to stay up but we decided we were too tired for that!
