This is the second year we have enjoyed the Pumpkin Patch at Lattin Farms. It is in Fallon which is a little over and hour away from us, but I love going because it's a nice little family friendly farm. It's not over commercialized and not very expensive. You get to take a hay ride out to the fields and pick your pumpkin right off their vines. They also have some super yummy pumpkin cookies! The girls enjoy the cow train and seeing the goats, chickens and crazy huge Turkey this year. The pumpkin patch is my favorite thing about Fall/Halloween. I look forward to it every year and I think the girls would agree.

We got to pick our pumpkins right off the vines This picture was a little awkward because the guy in the back would not get the hint to move, so Derek just took the picture anyway. I need to learn how to use Photoshop so I can delete them out! The pumpkins were all in this grove of Sunflowers. It was so beautiful.
On Saturday Bryanna had soccer pictures. Here is the picture I took. AYSO gives all team members a team portrait and then I save money by taking my own individual one. She looks great in yellow and it's her favorite color. We are really enjoying soccer season!
Abby Rae Marlatt came to this earth 6 years ago today. She was the only one in our family NOT born in Oregon. She was born in Utah after we moved there for Derek's job. Grandma Pam was there to help and I remember it was turning fall outside, the mountains were full of color. We lived in the apartment still, our house was being built down the street. Abby was a sweet little baby, and her big sisters loved her bunches. Abby is our last little one and is growing up way too fast! She loves pink, loves school and her friends. Her favorite dinner is Hawaiin Haystacks and she loves apple juice. Abby enjoys playing with her sisters, especially Barbies, Polly Pockets and riding bikes. We are so happy she is a part of our family! Happy Birthday Abby dabby doo!
When your oldest child is 9, they get to pick their own 4-H project. Did you know that? Well I did, but I was really hoping my daughter Bryanna would pick sewing or baking or even science. Guess what she picked? You are correct! GUINEA PIGS. So then I had to ask myself, do I deny my oldest child the experience of taking care of a Guinea Pig? It will help her to be responsible and nurturing. Right? Well, so far so good. We were even lucky enough to find 2 FREE guinea pigs from a friend at church and she gave us everything to go with it so the expense was very little. Bryanna has successfully signed up for the 4-H Cavy group (cavy means guinea pig..i had no idea) and now we await her first meeting. Maggie has even taken a liking to these little furry creatures. Who knew that I would have this many animals in my house!
We are officially done with training wheels! Abby took her time but finally decided she was ready to ride without them (the neighbor girl doing it first helped push her along a little). She is a little speed racer now!
Bryanna is #9 on the Outlaws team. I am so glad that she wanted to play soccer. I LOVE watching soccer so much more than softball and she seems to enjoy it a little more. So far they have won 1 game out of 3 and they are having a great time! She was excited that their team color is her favorite color..YELLOW! It's all about the clothes even in sports:)
13 year ago today I married my one and only. He was in fact my one and only boyfriend! I was 14 and he was 15 when we met back in 1992. We are high school sweethearts who went to different high schools. Derek and I met at a church basketball game at the Stake Center. I had just finished playing and was changing my shoes when he came up to me an introduced himself. I didn't think much of it but he says he knew right then:) We had a teenage romance with all the excitement and DRAMA that's for sure, but in the end what matters the most is that we truly love each other. The kind of love that fills up your whole body until it wants to burst out kind of love! I can't imagine my life without him in it and I appreciate all of our "growing experiences" over the last 13 years because I feel like it's made us stronger as husband and wife and as a family. The most wonderful outcome of our marriage is the 3 most beautiful children. We are so lucky to have them in our lives and to make our family complete. Bryanna, Gracie and Abby make our family the MARLATT 5, together forever! Happy Anniversary to us! I can't wait for the next 13 + years!
