Owls: Hoot! Hoot!

I have this obsession with owls lately. (Amy B. can understand).

I keep seeing a lot of owl things on fabric, stamps scrapbooking stuff etc. and I really am liking it. This towel I found at Target last night and I had to have it!! I also recently bought some owl fabric that I am making bibs with. Stay tuned to my craft blog for those along with some owl cards!!!

My New Crafty Blog!!

I've been thinking about doing this for a while and I've seen a few others who have already done an extra blog like this and so I decided I wanted to do one myself. More Birthday for Abby

We had a nice little family party for Abby on her birthday. She had to wait until Daddy came home after work and she was so patient all day. I made her some cupcakes that were supposed to look like a bouquet of balloons, and she got some fun presents from her sisters and grandparents and mom and dad. I love having simple birthday parties!!

Happy Birthday Abby!

This is our Abby Rae. She turns 3 today! She came into our lives on Monday September 19, 2005 weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 in. It was my first enduction but it went well and she came out VERY fast. We were living in Utah at the time and I remember being really nervous about having 3 kids and no friends or family close by. (I was so thankful for Gramma Pam who came to help out for a few days. )
Abby is our last baby and we are so happy she is here with us. She is sweet and funny and she loves music and puzzles. We just accomplished potty training and I am looking forward to watching her continue to grow and develop her personality! Happy Birthday Abby, we love you!

I love stormy weather!

Am I weird for loving grey clouds, rain and wind? I have always loved rain and for some disturbing reason the dark clouds and sky. It makes me want to cuddle up in a sweatshirt and stay inside sewing or reading or scrapbooking. Some people don't understand my love for this kind of weather and then I tell them I grew up in Portland, Or and then they get it a little bit! We had a little bit of a wind storm pass through yesterday afternoon and I opened the windows and let it in. It didn't last very long though and we're back to 86 degree weather today. I look forward to the cool days of fall.

Puzzles

Our new favorite thing to do at our house is PUZZLES. I let Abby and Gracie pull out some recently new 24 piece puzzles and after about 1/2 hour at the table they had put one together by themselves. I was such a proud mama!! I don't know if that is an amazing gift to other people but for my girls never having done a puzzle by themselves, I was pretty excited. Since then it is Abby's favorite thing to do( i know what to get her for her birthday this week!) It's really cute to watch her face, she concentrates so hard to get all the pieces in the right spot. And then she does them over and over and over again. Cheap and educational entertainment right?
